A short autobiography of owner and operator of Digital Fusion Virtual Assistant.
Marilyn Getzin Lapkass - My name, but not who I am. I tell people I have multiple personalities because at times it seems I am many different people. I have three main personalities which are Mom, Wife and Women. I spend most of the time as all three in one, however there are times I am so entrenched in one personality it seems that the others do not exist.
There are other personalities that have come and gone (child, teenager, college student, single women), however each of these are still part of who I am today.
My newest persona is Marilyn the Mom. I am blessed to be the mother to two teenagers: Jason 15 and Nicole 13. When they were younger Marilyn The Mom seemed to dominate my entire life as the needed so much care. Today I am still Mom, but I am able to show them a more well rounded person as they grow and care more for themselves.
Marilyn the Wife is the next oldest personality. Rob and I have been married almost 20 years and have known each other for almost 30 years. He is the ying to my yang. We complement each other well. I am goal oriented, he enjoys the process. He is slow and steady and I am rushing to finish. Together we have used our strengths to build a loving marriage and raise some pretty darn nice kids.
Marilyn the Women is who I have been the longest. I continue age and mature as the years go by, yet at my core, I live to serve others. If there was a career in volunteering, I think that would have been my choice years ago. I have a math type brain, yet I love crafting and creating things. I have been a software engineer, manager, and financial advisor. I have found my niche supporting others grow their business, especially non profits. I am a partner there to help as a leader, manager or doer who delivers results with compassion. I help restore calm amidst the chaos and confusion of business systems.
My multiple personalities have served me well. My day is 100% complete if I am able to be a good mom, loving wife, read, craft, learn something new, cook, and of course serve others.
